Join us for the 6th Annual Onalaska Triathlon located in the town of Onalaska, Texas just 10 minutes from Lake Livingston.  This event will take place at 134 Bridgeview, Onalaska, Texas  located approximately 10 minutes off 59 on Hwy. 190.  In addition to the area hotels there is also RV camping and cabins.
Enjoy a great lake swim followed by a beautiful scenic ride through the rolling hills in Onalaska and a nice run through a neighborhood in Onalaska with a lake view.  This event will start at 7am.  Enjoy our great Onalaska Blonde Ale beer after this great event. We hope to see you soon.

Individuals

  • $150 for individuals until May 31, 2018.
  • $170 for individuals June 1,2018 until July 31, 2018.
  • $190 for individuals August 1, 2018 until packet pick up or sell out.

Aquabike

  • $140 for individuals until May 31, 2018.
  • $150 for individuals June 1,2018 until July 31, 2018.
  • $160 for individuals August 1, 2018 until packet pick up or sell out.

Relays

  • $185 for relays teams until May 31, 2018.
  • $200 for relays teams June 1, 2018 until July 31, 2018.
  • $220 for relays teams August 1, 2018 until packet pick-up or sell out.

This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event so a USA Triathlon membership will be required by each athlete participating.  If you do not have a membership you can purchase one when you register or at packet pick up.  An annual membership for 17 and under is $15, a one day for 18 and older is $12, and an annual for 18 and older is $50.  For more information please visit www.usatriathlon.org.

Course:

SWIM – The swim is a 1.2 mile open water lake swim in Lake Livingston. We will have a straight line course with a wave start, and a cut off time of 75 minutes.

BIKE – The bike is 56 miles through quiet rolling hills which cut through the Texas forest. Bike cut off time is Noon. There will be rest stops at mile markers 21, 31, and 45; complete with water, food, and Hammer Products. The rest stops located at mile 31 & 45 will have rest rooms.

RUN – The run is 13.1 miles by Lake Livingston and through area neighborhoods in Onalaska. This course is beautiful and you will do three loops with a lake view and head back to the finish line. We will start the rest stops at mile 2 and they will continue every two mile after and will be complete with water, food, GU Products, and we have located rest rooms at the largest rest stop.

The Aquabike will do the swim at 1.2 miles and the 56 mile bike.

“Day Of” packet pick up for the first 60 athletes for an additional $10.  You will still need your license and you can still only pick up your packet.  There are no refunds, but you may transfer your entry to another event  if you notify Tina Whiteford 72 prior to packet pick up starting; however, you can not transfer your entry to another athlete.  The transfer can only be because of an injury or work/family related issue. This event will take place rain or shine. Courses and/or race segments may be altered based on safety first; if this occurs refunds will not be issued.

The run route on MapeMyRun is short because I can’t go all the way into the sub-division on the program, but it is 13.1.

Timing:

This is a chip timed event; all splits will be included with transitions.  Occasionally a split is missed due to a misread or improper chip placement.  We apologize now if this happens. Chips will be given out at packet pick up  and will be a long black foam strip; instructions are located on our website.  All times is done by Demore Timing Services.

Awards:

Overall top male and female, overall top master’s male and female will receive medals. Top 3 in age groups and relay teams (All women, all men, mixed) will receive medals.  Age groups are 14-under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 – Plus. Aqua bike, top 3 male & females. Clydesdale (220lbs. & Over) 39 and Under & 40 and Older. Athena (165lbs & Over) 39 and Under & 40 and Over will also receive a medal.

All athletes will receive a tech shirt, finishers medal, and much more.  (You are guaranteed a shirt if registered before we order them.  Our shirts can run big and if you need to get a smaller size please check with us after the event and we will switch the out if there are any available.
